London Calling: Thames Fatales win 139-65 in Toronto!

The Thames Fatales improved their record to 2-0 on the season with a decisive 139-65 road victory against the GTA Rollergirls' Derby Debutantes of Toronto, sweeping the home and home series.

Thames' Captain, Anya Face, shined last night, with multiple grand slam jams, where the Thames' blocking lineups were completely successful in shutting down the Debs' jammers and points racked up at 8, 9, and 11 at a time.

Despite a first jam 3-0 lead by the Derby Debutantes, the Thames managed to gain on the Debutantes throughout the second half, with an outstanding 9-point jam by CommieKaze for the bout-ending, final jam of the night.

Now at 2-0 for the 2009 season, the Thames Fatales will be preparing to face the Rideau Valley Rollergirls in Ottawa on July 11.
